Thailand | Khao Yai — A Tuscan Escape Under the Sun 🇹🇭☀️🍃

#springitinerary
In March, I took my parents back to Khao Yai for a revisit. This time, we stayed at a stunning Italian-style villa hotel that feels like a slice of Tuscany — perfect for escaping Thailand’s intense heat.

Hotel: Movenpick Resort Khao Yai
You can find it on Google Maps and book it on many platforms. We traveled in March, and the average family room price for three people was about 1100 RMB (~$160 USD), including breakfast.

The rooms are spacious, though the bathroom facilities show some age. Still, the hotel’s overall landscape truly captures that Italian vibe, with a beautiful restaurant view and two giant trees with swings to relax on. 🌳🍝🏡

I worked in Thailand for almost two years during the Covid-19 pandemic and often rented cars for solo road trips during short breaks. Car rental in Thailand is quite affordable, and most companies include scratch insurance, so you can drive worry-free, even on muddy mountain roads — no cleaning fees or extra charges! 🚗💨

Khao Yai is a must-visit recommended by local colleagues, especially for family trips. It’s affectionately called the “Royal Garden of Thailand” — a green paradise just waiting to be explored. 👑🌿
