im feeling beachy!

The first time we ever went to Las Cabanas Beach, the whole stretch of sand from the entrance to the point was known as Las Cabanas. It’s since been split into Vanilla Beach, Maremegmeg Beach and Las Cabanas Beach. Vanilla and Maremegmeg are at the entrance, and are both beautiful spots to enjoy.

Las Cabanas Beach is right on the point, just across from the tiny Depeldet Island. There’s a resort on the corner, aptly named Las Cabanas Beach Resort, but there’s plenty of spaces before and after the resort to lay down a towel and enjoy the scenery. Las Cabanas Beach is typically more quiet than Maremegmeg Beach, with most people choosing to stay near the bars. We found a spot under the trees and settled in to watch sunset.
