Sparkles and Dreams: Seeing the Eiffel Tower Light Up

Seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time was a surreal experience, especially as an Asian traveler who grew up seeing it only in books, movies, and postcards. Standing there in front of it felt almost unreal, like I had stepped into a dream I never thought would come true. It was overwhelming in the best way! When the lights started sparkling against the Paris night sky, I honestly felt emotional. It was one of those rare moments where you realize how far you’ve come.

Tips for your visit:
•Ride Metro Line 6 and keep your camera ready for that first magical glimpse!
•Visit both during the day and at night—the atmosphere completely transforms!
•Wait until midnight for the most special sparkle show. The Eiffel Tower twinkles every hour after sunset, but at midnight, the sparkle feels even more magical with fewer crowds around.
•Best photo spots: Trocadéro, Pont de Bir-Hakeim, and Champ de Mars.
•Stay alert and mindful of your belongings, especially near busy entrances.
