The Heming Lake Scenic Area is located 1 km south of the intersection of Huahai Avenue and Huayuan Road in the Yanling Flower and Tree Tourism Industry Cluster. It covers a total area of 3,308 mu (approximately 1,000 acres). The reservoir has a designed total storage capacity of 450 cubic meters and a normal water depth of 6.1 meters. It includes the lake surface, Phoenix Mountain, surrounding wetlands, a scenic bridge, and a scenic path around the lake. The lake's primary goals are to conserve groundwater with Yellow River water, create a waterscape with the reservoir, improve the ecological environment with the surrounding wetlands, and, through the Heming Lake Scenic Area, drive the development of the Yanling Ecological Tourism Resort.
Heming Lake was named this way because Yanling was awarded the title of "China's Longevity Town". Yanling is the place where Peng Zu, the ancestor of health preservation, passed away. The health preservation culture has been passed down for thousands of years. Crane is a symbol of auspiciousness and longevity. Heming Lake echoes Changshou Mountain on the north side of the lake, forming a city culture of "cranes singing in Jiu Gao, and their voices are heard in the sky."
Warm temperate monsoon climate; Heming Lake Scenic Area has now become a tourist attraction for the people and tourists of Yanling and surrounding counties and cities, and is suitable for travel in all seasons.
