Paris Day 1 Travelogue – The Smile of the Louvre and the Sparkle of the Eiffel Tower

On my first day in Paris, I headed to the Louvre Museum early in the morning. I navigated through the crowd to see the Mona Lisa, and her smile, up close, was more modest and serene than I had imagined. Walking through the Louvre felt like diving into a sea of art. It wasn’t just about the paintings; it felt like walking through time and history.

After leaving the Louvre, I took a break at the Tuileries Garden. The sight of children playing and people lying on the grass reading books exuded a sense of leisure. Later, I visited the Shakespeare and Company bookstore. Just sitting there for a while, surrounded by the scent of books, made me feel at peace, like a true Parisian.

In the evening, I found a spot at the Champ de Mars in front of the Eiffel Tower. As the sun set, the lights of the tower turned on, and at the top of the hour, the sparkling light show began. While exclamations of awe and the sound of camera shutters filled the air, I chose to simply take it all in with my eyes. I wanted to cherish this fleeting moment in my heart for a long time.

I think I’ve already fallen in love with Paris on the very first day.
