Escape the heatโ€ฆ Take a train to sleep on Penang Island ๐Ÿš‚

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Hello to all Trip.com friends. Summer is here. Where should we go in this hot season? Come and follow Gammy. Today, I would like to present a backpacking trip by train to Penang Island. ๐ŸŒค๏ธ

๐Ÿ๏ธ Penang Island is a small island in Malaysia, next to Thailand. You can get there by plane โœˆ๏ธ and train ๐Ÿš‚ to take a ferry across the island. ๐Ÿšข

๐Ÿš˜ This trip, Gammy started by taking a car to Hat Yai Railway Station to take a train to Pradang Besar Station. The fare is 50 baht. ๐Ÿ’ฐ The train leaves at 7:30. When we got off the train, we went to get our passports to take the train to Butterworth Station. The ticket price is 11 ringgit, which is around 90 baht. ๐Ÿ’ฐ When we arrived at the final station, we had to walk to board the ferry. ๐Ÿšข The round-trip fare is around 15 baht. That's it!

๐Ÿ“George Town is the main city On Penang Island, it can be said that it is the center of tourist attractions, restaurants, and the development of the island. Traveling here is very convenient. There is Grab service. You can use the same app as in Thailand. In addition, there are buses running around the city. The fare is 2-3 ringgit per ride. It is very cheap. Plus, there is cool air conditioning.

๐Ÿ“ธ If you come here, photography lovers will definitely love this. This place is very famous for street art. It is hidden in every corner of the city. You have to collect them all. They will give you a map. Which picture is where? You can get a free map at the bus station.

๐Ÿจ Accommodation Gammy chose to stay at Kimberley Hotel, located opposite the Comtar building. It is a very developed and convenient area. It is near many restaurants and street food. But the accommodation has no Wi-Fi and is quite narrow. The price is 900 baht per night.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ The food that you shouldn't miss when coming here is Nasi Lema, the national food of Malaysia. I must say that it's delicious and satisfying. It's very delicious. There's also "Lok Lok", which is similar to shabu on a stick. The price is 5-10 baht per stick. You can boil and eat it standing in front of the shop. It's very enjoyable.

๐Ÿ ๐Ÿข๐Ÿ›๏ธ The buildings and houses of the city are a mix of cultures of many races. Just walking around the city is very enjoyable. I'd like my friends to try coming to visit here. You can travel on a small budget.

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ The impression of this trip is 9/10.
