Pile Lagoon is located near the island of Phi Phi Ley, famous for its Maya Bay, where the filming of the movie The Beach with Leonardo DiCaprio took place. Territorially belongs to the province of Krabi in Thailand.🩵
It is included in the mandatory route point on excursions with the direction to the Phi Phi archipelago.
Pile Lagoon is the deepest lagoon in Thailand, formed as a result of a fault in the earth's crust. Thanks to the limestone rocks at the bottom, the color of the water is simply unrealistically beautiful, as if you are looking through a Photoshop filter.
Thais believe that swimming in this lagoon has a rejuvenating effect, due to the composition of the water. It is saltier here than in the Andaman Sea.
The lagoon is surrounded by huge cliffs covered with greenery. There is no opportunity to go ashore.
The stop in this lagoon is not long, it involves active recreation - you can jump from a yacht, swim, there is nothing to see with a mask here. The water is crystal clear.
The color of the water is always stunning - both in rain and in sunny, clear weather😍
