📍Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Ayutthaya Province

#Places to visit near Bangkok Wat Phra Si Sanphet is located in the Ayutthaya Historical Park, Pratu Chai Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Ayutthaya Province. It was once the royal temple of the ancient Ayutthaya palace. In modern times, it would be similar to the current Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram or Wat Phra Kaew. Those who have visited this temple should be familiar with the three large chedis lined up in Sri Lankan style. These chedis contain the royal ashes of King Borommatrailokkanat, King Borommarachathirat III, and King Borommarachathirat II. They are magnificent and beautiful. Next to them is a large viharn (ordination hall) that was originally built but is likely destroyed, leaving only the remains of the viharn. #WatPhraSiSanphet #Ayutthaya #Thailand
