Wat Yai Chaiyamongkhon, also known as the "Temple of Auspicious Great Victory," is one of the oldest and best-preserved temples in Ayutthaya.
The 28-meter-long Reclining Buddha here symbolizes peace and blessings. Many travelers come to make wishes, and it is said that sticking a coin onto the Buddha's feet can bring good fortune. 👍
Climbing the red brick stairs to the main stupa reveals a deep central well, which once housed urns of ashes and has now become a wishing well. If you can toss a coin into the wooden frame at the center of the well, your wish is believed to come true. 🙏
This ancient temple, blending faith and legend, is not only a pilgrimage site for devotees but also the perfect place to experience the serene power of Ayutthaya's history. 🍀
