Ancient City - Ayutthaya 大城府

On our second day in Ayutthaya we drove to three important sites in Ayutthaya. The famous "Buddha Head in the Tree" (Wat Mahathat) is a spectacle that the Buddha's head was cut off when the Burmese army invaded and destroyed it, and the Buddha's head rolled to the Bodhi tree and was gradually embraced by the tree. The Khmer-style stupa in Wat Ratchaburana next to Wat Mahathat commemorates two royal brothers who died fighting for the throne. Finally came to Wat Phra Si Sanphet unfortunately closed due to light activity nearby.
