Exploring Joensuu's Hidden Gem ～ Koli National Park

Finland boasts numerous stunning national parks, and among them, Koli National Park stands out with its mountainous forests and rich resources. The air here is incredibly fresh, offering visitors the chance to indulge in the purest "champagne air" experience.

Koli National Park features multiple hiking trails suitable for both seasoned hikers and beginners. Each trail is designed to lead to scenic viewpoints, allowing visitors to choose routes based on their preferred distance and difficulty level, all starting and ending at the information center.

We opted for the black-marked trail, which is slightly challenging, to reach the viewpoint overlooking Lake Pielinen. The serene, deep blue waters of the lake are truly therapeutic. For the return journey, we took the easier red-marked trail to quickly get back to the information center.
