There is a 500-year-old ginkgo tree waiting for me at the mountain top

To meet this 500-year-old ginkgo tree, we climbed Tiangui Mountain with the kids! When the autumn wind blows, the ginkgo leaves fall like golden rain, and the children excitedly reach out to catch them. It’s really worth it~

📍Destination: Tiangui Mountain

🚗Transportation: It takes about 1.5 hours to drive from the city center, and the navigation is very accurate. If taking public transportation, you can take a bus from the North Station directly to the entrance of the scenic area. For families with kids, driving is more convenient.

💛Centennial Ginkgo at Qinglong Temple:

This 500-plus-year-old giant ginkgo tree is right at the top of the mountain at Qinglong Temple. In autumn, the tree is full of golden leaves, and the fallen leaves cover the ground like a golden carpet, making for amazing photos! Qinglong Temple itself is also worth visiting, with ancient and solemn buildings like Zhenwu Hall and Cangyan Hall, where you can tell kids some historical stories.

📸Parent-Child Tour Tips:

1️⃣ Hiking up the mountain: If the family with kids has good stamina, you can try hiking. The steps are relatively gentle, and it takes about an hour to reach the top at a slow pace. The scenery along the way is beautiful, and kids can manage it.

2️⃣ Easy cable car option: If the children are young or don’t want to hike, you can take the cable car directly up the mountain. After getting off the cable car, it’s only a 10-minute gentle walk to the ginkgo tree, which is very friendly for toddlers!

On the way down, you can also visit the glass plank road and Zhenwu Cave. The glass plank road offers a very wide view and is thrilling for kids. Zhenwu Cave is a natural karst cave and a bit dark inside, so if your child is timid, it’s recommended to enter with caution.

💙Overall Experience:

One day is just enough to enjoy everything easily—hiking, autumn leaf viewing, cave exploring, and walking the glass plank road. The itinerary is super rich, and the kids are happy the whole time!
