Two-Day, Two-Night Island Relaxation Guide

Two days and two nights on Nanji Island, already returned|||Book in advance before going: round-trip high-speed train tickets, boat tickets for island boarding and disembarking, and accommodation on the island.

Day 1 Depart from Ningbo 🚄 Ningbo Station - Pingyang Station, lunch: Xitang Panda Partner. Take a taxi from Pingyang Station to Aojiang Wharf, check in and board the boat. The boat ride takes 2 hours, no signal so it can be a bit boring; you can sleep or download movies in advance to watch. There will also be movies playing on the boat. If you get seasick, prepare seasickness patches or medicine and plastic bags in advance. After disembarking, take the bus to Mitu Sanpan hotel to check in. In the afternoon, take the bus to Dashao Beach to play; the seawater 🌊 is very blue, and the sand on the beach is soft. Dinner on the first day was at the Sanpan Homestay Restaurant at Sanpanwei: yellow croaker 150 yuan each, swimming crab 40 yuan each, water spinach 30 yuan per plate. A bit pricey but the taste was okay.

Day 2 Get up at 4:30 am to go to Sanpanwei to watch the sunrise. The clouds were a bit thick and blocked the view, so it wasn’t very spectacular. You need to climb a small hill, and there were quite a few people watching the sunrise. After watching the sunrise, go back to sleep and then get up for breakfast (the hotel provides simple steamed buns, porridge, eggs, and pickles), but there are also small restaurants nearby where you can eat, which you will pass on the way to the sunrise spot. After breakfast, go to the big meadow for photos; there are fewer people at this time but it’s quite hot. At noon, had a casual meal at Sanpanwei, packed up, took the bus to Cave Hotel to check in. Took some photos at the hotel, then before sunset took the bus to the beach, walked a few hundred meters to a small beach to watch the sunset, but it was still blocked by clouds. Dinner was at a barbecue restaurant next to the beach; the taste was okay and the price was acceptable, two people ate for a little over 100 yuan. After 6:30 pm, the bus fare increases by 10 yuan.

Day 3 Return trip. The advantage of staying at Cave Hotel is that you can take photos and watch the sunrise directly from the bed. However, the price is relatively high. Booking through Trip.com also gets you two cups of coffee, which is a good deal since prices start at 58 yuan per cup. For the return trip, take the bus to the wharf, then the boat, and then the high-speed train station to go home~
Overall, the scenery is quite nice, but the travel time is long and there aren’t many attractions. Two days is enough to relax and enjoy the scenery.
