A Must-See for Solo Travelers! Complete One-Day Citywalk Guide in Bratislava

🇸🇰 Citywalk escape plan in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia|Welcome to the land of primary colors📍This post marks my first solo trip, measuring life step by step 🍃

When I was working overseas, I took a day off on Saturday. I traveled alone to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, and personally tested that this place is really small—you can cover the whole day’s itinerary on foot [Chin]

🇨🇿 I started from Prague, Czech Republic, taking a 4-hour one-way train ride, which was quite convenient. A round-trip ticket costs about 40 euros. Remember to buy an OBB ticket, which also includes the city transport ticket for the first day, but you need to exchange it for a paper ticket!

The attractions are super close to each other, so no need to plan the route carefully. The Blue Church is free to enter, both the exterior and interior are very fresh-looking, and you don’t have to squeeze to take photos~

Wandering around the Old Town is very pleasant, visiting the Main Square, the Presidential Palace, and Michael’s Gate. The cover photo of this post was casually taken near Michael’s Gate🏙️, very photogenic ^_^

You can take a distant shot of the UFO Observation Tower as a landmark! I highly recommend going to Bratislava Castle at dusk; from the top, you can see the sunset over the Danube River and the Old Town. The night view is also beautiful. The outdoor viewing platform and courtyard are free, but the museum entrance is 12 euros 💶

To sum up: the fresh green Old Town Hall and the rose quartz blue St. Elizabeth’s Church complement each other perfectly! I really enjoyed visiting St. Martin’s Cathedral, where Hungarian kings were crowned, and the city’s oldest Michael’s Gate🚪. The interesting small sculptures scattered around truly make this small Eastern European country unique☝🏻

The pace for the whole day is just right, perfect for friends who want a relaxed citywalk stroll.
