Moroccan Pavilion Putrajaya, also known as Astaka Morocco. A hidden gem in Taman Botani Putrajaya, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. The pavilion was built to signify the strong ties between Malaysia & Morocco.
This gorgeous pavilion features magnificent Moorish architecture, intertwining with Islamic culture and heritage. The surface of the building are embellished with intricate carvings of geometrical patterns, Arabic calligraphy and rhythmic patterns of arabesque design. Its gorgeous architecture, colours and cultural designs make me feel like somewhere in Morocco. Apart of that, the pavilion surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens and a scenic lake. Highly recommended.
Open daily from Wednesday to Saturday 9am - 6pm, closed every Tuesday and FREE admission!
