Anhui's next 5A-level scenic spot is less crowded and has beautiful scenery. Come quickly

Many tourists from other provinces might not know where Shitai County, Anhui Province, is located. It's a small county within Chizhou City, boasting stunning scenery and seven 4A-level scenic spots. I visit here almost every year.

❤️However, this time in Shitai, I had two surprises❗ First, the Shitai Guniujiang Scenic Area is undergoing a systematic renovation in preparation for upgrading to a national 5A-level scenic area. Second, the small county's long-standing accommodation problem has been solved: a new Hilton Garden Inn has opened just outside Guniujiang Scenic Area, boasting over 300 rooms.

🌈Guniujiang Scenic Area offers a well-established itinerary, featuring scenic spots such as Yanjia Ancient Village, Sidie Waterfall, and Longmen Lake. The tree-lined trails and clear, turquoise waters attract many visitors.

🚗After visiting Shitai for so many years, I can't help but marvel at its transformation. Previously, there were no expressways or high-speed rail connections, but now there are, and it takes about two hours to drive from the provincial capital, Hefei.

🍜Shitai's most valuable feature is its small-town atmosphere and relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend Shitai's local cuisine, as the soil is high in selenium, and the water and crops are excellent. I highly recommend the Shitai specialties like roasted chicken with snails and small fish from the Qiupu River.
