The Christian Church, located right in front of Signal Mountain Park, is one of the representative tourist attractions where you can appreciate Qingdao's German-style architecture along with the Catholic Church.
It was built in Qingdao's old city center in 1908 after Germany stationed in Qingdao in 1897.
It was initially called the German Chapel, 'International Church', etc., but its name was changed to the current Christian Church.
It consists of a chapel that can accommodate about a thousand people and a bell tower that is about 39m high, and is designated as a Shandong Province Cultural Heritage Protection Area.
The building is decorated with a green bell tower, yellow granite, and red tiles, and boasts an exotic landscape that makes you feel like you've entered a modern German town.
Unlike its unique exterior, the interior is a bit disappointing because there's nothing particularly noteworthy.
If you climb the steep stairs to the top of the bell tower, you can see the entire view of Qingdao, but I don't know how to get there... ;;
Worship is held here on Sunday mornings.
