Zhongshan Road in Qingdao, China, is a historically, culturally and commercially important street that runs north to south for about 1.3 km through the center of Qingdao's old town.

This street is a symbol of Qingdao's modernization, and is a historical area where many buildings from the German concession era remain. 

For example,

★ Former site of the Qingdao Club (Zhongshan Road No. 1): A German Youth-style building built in 1910-1911, currently used as an international gourmet club. 

★ Former bank buildings: Near the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Henan Road, many historic bank buildings remain, including the former China Industrial Bank and the Qingdao Banking Association. 

★ Otuo Commercial Building: A commercial building built in 1912 that later served as a post office.

Nearby tourist attractions include the famous Pier. It is an iconic landmark of Qingdao located at the southern end of Zhongshan Road, so it is efficient to start or finish your stroll along Zhongshan Road there 🙆
