On the road: The place where Qin Emperor went into the sea in search of immortality - Qin Shi Huang is no longer seen.

From Shanhaiguan Ancient City to Beidaihe District, [Car] drove about 20 kilometers, passed the place where Qin Emperor entered the sea to seek immortality, and stopped at the gate for a visit.

[One] The place where the Emperor Qin entered the sea to seek immortality is located in the southeast of Haigang District, Qinhuangdao City. Qinhuangdao was originally part of the Jieshi area. It was named after Qin Shihuang stayed here during his eastern tour.
[Two] According to the "Records of the Grand Historian: Annals of Qin Shi Huang", Qin Shi Huang visited Jieshi-Qinhuangdao in 215 BC and worshipped the sea. He then sent two groups of alchemists, Lu Sheng, Hou Gong and Han Zhong, with young boys and girls, into the sea to seek immortality and the elixir of life.
[Three] In the 13th year of Emperor Xianzong of the Ming Dynasty, a stone tablet with the inscription “The Place Where the Emperor Qin Went into the Sea in Search of Immortality” was erected to commemorate the holy place.
