💖Quanzhou Tianhou Temple: Millennia of Blessings from the Sea Goddess💖

Founded in the second year of the Qingyuan reign of the Southern Song Dynasty, Quanzhou Tianhou Temple is the oldest and largest extant Mazu temple on China's southeastern coast. Its architecture is imbued with Southern Fujian characteristics, featuring an ornate gate and a well-preserved main hall with exquisitely carved beams and painted pillars. It also boasts unique remains such as stone pillars from a Yuan Dynasty Hindu temple. A key witness to the Maritime Silk Road, it is not only a religious site but also a cultural treasure.

🎯 Tips: Located at No. 1, Tianhou Road, Nanmen, Licheng District, Quanzhou City, it can be reached by taking Bus No. 31. Open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, admission is free. Mazu's birthday is celebrated with grand ceremonies on the 23rd day of the third lunar month, but weekdays are also a great time to visit and pray. Nearby, Bingzheng Hall offers a place to savor four-fruit soup.
