Jungle Adventure at Cobá Ruins in Quintana Roo

#holidayitinerary Exploring Cobá was such a fun mix of history and nature. The ruins are tucked deep in the jungle, which gives the whole place this wild, mysterious vibe. What’s cool is how spread out everything is, so it feels like an adventure just getting from one site to the next.

I rented a bike at the entrance, and that made it way more fun and breezy. The paths are shaded and peaceful, and every now and then you stumble across an ancient pyramid or structure hidden in the trees. The highlight for sure was climbing the big pyramid, Nohoch Mul. The view from the top is pure jungle as far as you can see. It’s a bit steep but totally worth it.

Cobá feels way less crowded than other sites too, which makes the experience feel more personal. Super laid back and definitely one of my favorite stops in the area.
