Grass Mountain, also known as "Khao Hua Lan", is a unique tourist attraction in Ranong Province. The special thing about this mountain is that there are no large trees covering it. There is only grass that changes color according to the season. We went during the rainy season (May - October): the grass turns into a refreshing green. The green color is the best.
If you are coming during the dry season (November - April): the grass turns into gold. We think it will be beautiful in a different way.
There is no entrance fee. The mountain is located on the road from Ranong town. Take Highway No. 4 (Ranong-Phang Nga) for about 12 kilometers. You will find Grass Mountain on the right, opposite Ngao Waterfall. You can go up there to see the view around. But be careful, you will get grass flowers on your pants.
