Sashiogi Hikawa Shrine is an ancient shrine located in a residential area in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture.
Also known as Akabane Hikawa Shrine, this shrine
has a Kagura Hall? Surrounding the shrine are 2,500 hydrangeas of 20 species and 280 varieties from Japan and abroad, making it a renowned hydrangea spot.
Various varieties of hydrangeas bloom in succession from April, allowing visitors to enjoy the hydrangeas in a relay style through August.
This year, the scorching heat caused the flowers in sunny areas to wither early, but they were still beautiful in late June.

🚗Access: Approximately 11 minutes by car from Omiya Station. Take the bus from the west exit of Omiya Station toward Nishi-Yuma and get off at Akabane bus stop. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes.
