A Delightful Boutique Experience at Palihotel

We stayed in a Queen Room at the Palihotel and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this place. First impressions matter, and walking in felt like entering a chic, boutique hideaway in the city’s heart. The reception area is modern, lively, and full of character. Check-in was smooth, and the receptionist was so kind and helpful—it set the tone from the start. A nice feature is that if you arrive before your room is ready, they’ll store your luggage so you can head out and explore immediately. That made our first day in San Francisco much easier and more enjoyable. Once we got to our room, I was really impressed. Though I’d read some negative reviews beforehand, I honestly found it charming, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring Union Square and beyond. The bathroom was spotless and well-equipped, giving the room a cozy, boutique feel in line with the hotel’s style. The cocktail bar on the second floor was one of my favorite discoveries. It has a bohemian vibe, with live music on certain nights, and the cocktails were excellent—a great spot to relax after a day of sightseeing. If I were to mention a couple of small drawbacks, we did ask twice for fresh towels which never arrived, and while there’s a Nespresso-style coffee machine in the room, there were no coffee pods during our stay. It would also be nice to have an iron and ironing board in the room. However, these are minor details and didn’t detract from the overall experience. All things considered, Palihotel San Francisco offered us a stylish, comfortable base in a prime location, with a boutique character and genuinely friendly staff. I would definitely recommend it and would be happy to stay here again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4/5)
