The Dong people are skilled in wooden architecture, living in elevated wooden houses made of cedar with the drum tower as the village center. The Wind and Rain Bridges and drum towers, constructed without using any nails, are highlights of the Dong culture. At the Chengyang Yongji Bridge, young men and women dressed in traditional Dong attire welcome visitors with songs.

Take the high-speed train to Sanjiang South Station, then Bus Line 4 to Bird's Nest Square in front of Sanjiang Drum Tower, and finally Bus Line 5 to Chengyang Bazhai.
