With a gentle breeze and rippling blue waves, the Sheraton Haitang Bay Resort, a classic landmark in the Sanya resort circle, not only boasts a prime oceanfront pool view, but also refreshes the creative boundaries of island afternoon tea with its newly launched Hope Water co-branded limited afternoon tea.
Stepping into the lobby bar, the 270-degree transparent floor-to-ceiling windows frame the coconut grove pool and the azure sea and sky into a flowing picture. Rattan chairs and tropical greenery interweave a lazy Nanyang style. The gilded three-tiered stand served by the waiter instantly brightens the view—the top layer of pink desserts is displayed like artwork, the middle layer of savory snacks interprets local flavors with Shanghai-style creativity, and the bottom layer of two bottles of Hope Water's special sparkling water glistens with crystal water droplets in crushed ice. Before you even taste it, you can feel the refreshing spring.
The "Wang Chunmei" and "Wang Xingfu" sparkling waters are the highlights. Wang Chunmei is based on green plum puree, with a sweet and sour taste that jumps with the elegant finish of elderflower, and the dense bubbles are wrapped in the fruity aroma of early spring in Hainan; Wang Xingfu uses yellow apricot and hawthorn to create a layered fruit symphony, with a slightly astringent and sweet aftertaste repeatedly pulling on the tip of the tongue. The refreshing taste of the two sparkling drinks perfectly neutralizes the richness of the desserts, and the waiter suggests pouring the sparkling water into champagne glasses for a slow taste, which adds a sense of ritual.
The dessert layer unfolds a taste narrative with the theme of "Looking forward to Spring": the cherry blossom-shaped macarons have plum jam embedded in them, and the thin and crispy shell forms a contrasting cuteness with the dense filling; the gold foil on top of the apricot mousse cake is like fragments of sunlight, and when you dig it open, it is actually passion fruit lava; the most amazing thing is the lime coconut jelly, which is made of Hainan old coconut water and wrapped in fresh coconut meat, drizzled with Wang Xingfu sparkling water special jelly, and the triple sweetness blooms in sequence. The savory layer cleverly incorporates island elements—the shrimp sandwich wrapped in pandan leaves exudes a herbal fragrance, the smoked Wagyu beef tart with partridge tea balances the milky aroma with a smoky flavor, and even the scones contain hidden secrets, and after dipping them in the special bayberry jam, you can taste a slightly drunk feeling.
