The winter in Hokkaido is so beautiful ~ As its largest city and the most important transportation hub, Sapporo is also a must-visit place for people to visit Hokkaido for the first time, but many people only visit a few iconic attractions and rush to the next stop👀
Having been to Sapporo twice in total, I found that there are many places worth exploring in this city ~ Especially for those who like to take pictures, the following points are worth a visit👇
……。
❄️Sapporo Fushimi Inari Shrine
Fushimi Inari Shrine in Sapporo was built in 1884. Although it is far smaller in visibility and architectural scale than Fushimi Inari in Kyoto, the red torii gate with snow scenery that stretches all the way in winter is unusually beautiful.
📍2-17 Fushimi 2-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido
🕒 Open all day
……。
❄️ Head Buddha
The work of the famous Japanese architect Tadao Ando is located in the Takino Cemetery of Mamanai, Sapporo, and is also a park built to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the cemetery. Standing under the hill to see the Buddha from any angle can only see its head, only entering from a specialized entrance can witness the full view of the 13.5 meters high Buddha, immensely shocking. In winter the hills are a snowy landscape, and in summer it is a vast expanse of lavender. (There are also Moai and Stonehenge in the park).
📍Takino 2, South District, Sapporo, Hokkaido
🕒April-October 9:00-16:00; November-March 10:00-15:00
……。
❄️Moerenuma Park
Noguchi is responsible for planning and designing the park, combining nature and art. The glass pyramid exhibition hall in the center of the park is very beautiful on a clear day! The park is huge, the wooded, mountainous land covered in snow is simply a wonderland.
📍 1-1 Minuma Park, Higashi-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido
🕒7:00-22:00
……。
In addition, Sapporo is very attractive to me also Hokkaido University and Art Forest Park, unfortunately to these two places when the sun is close, can not have a good time to take pictures - I hope the next time to Sapporo can stay for a few days.
……。
None of the above places are in the center of Sapporo, and although the city as a whole is not big, winter buses require longer waits. So need to plan the route well ✨
