[Sapporo Tourism] Sapporo's TV Tower has been standing in the city for almost 70 years

As it is a tourist spot in Sapporo,
I stopped by on the second day of my Hokkaido tour.

Adults 1,000 yen
Elementary and junior high school students 500 yen

You can climb up to the third floor for free.

Sapporo TV Tower, built in 1957, is a radio tower located in Odori Park at Odori Nishi 1-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo.

It is located in the center of Sapporo, and the total construction cost was 170 million yen!
It is 147.2 meters tall.

It was fitted with an electronic clock donated by Panasonic in 1961, and became the clock for the people of the city.

It seems that there used to be a planetarium and a movie theater, and
the planetarium has a dome-shaped ceiling on the third floor, which is a little remnant of that.
