Cycling to enjoy cherry blossoms --- Sapporo Shinkawa Crossroads Park

#Sapporo Sakura

Shinkawa, not far to the north of Hokkaido University, is lined with Ezo cherry trees and Yoshino cherry trees. The 10-kilometer-long embankment trail is said to be the longest row of cherry trees in Japan. It is also the best place to view cherry blossoms in spring. You can see the lights from daytime to night, and the spring scenery is very beautiful.
To get to Shinkawa Crossroads Park from Sapporo Station, you can take the JR to Shinkawa or Hachiken, and then walk to the Shinkawa River. If you are physically fit, you can choose to ride a bicycle, which only takes 20 minutes. Riding a bicycle in Hokkaido is quite pleasant.
