Sakura Viewing at Nakajima Park in Hokkaido

Today, I took a leisurely walk through Nakajima Park. Perhaps thanks to the rain from the previous day, the air was crisp and fresh. The earthy scent was strong, and a thin mist rose above the pond. Koi fish swam slowly in the water, their movements as soft as drifting clouds.
The cherry tree leaves along the walking path were already half fallen. Red leaves were scattered across the path, creating a soft carpet underfoot. Each step produced a gentle crunching sound, which felt like the background music of the day.
Near the teahouse inside the park, the aroma of coffee wafted by. Having walked for quite a while, the warm scent alone was comforting. Sitting on a bench and gazing at the lake, I watched the ripples sparkle with each gust of wind. It felt like one of those moments where doing nothing at all was perfectly fine.
People were walking at their own pace. Some wore earphones, while others simply looked up at the sky. I joined them, strolling slowly. Time seemed to pass, but my heart felt as if it had paused for a moment.
On my way back, I looked up at a maple tree. Its sunlit leaves glowed transparently. The autumn in Nakajima Park was silently kind.
