Ancient Roman Library (Library of Celsus)

When you come to the ancient city of Ephesus in Türkiye, you can’t miss the Celsus Library. This world-famous ancient Roman library was built in the 2nd century AD in memory of the Roman official Celsus and once housed 12,000 volumes. Even though only the imposing facade, the beautifully carved pillars and the goddess statues remain today, one can still feel the wisdom of the past. Even the remaining pillars are still worth seeing.
