The Jeongbang Falls in Seogwipo is one of the three major waterfalls on Jeju Island, the other two being the Cheonjiyeon Falls and the Cheonjeyeon Falls. Jeongbang Falls is also the only coastal waterfall in Korea that flows directly into the sea. The waterfall is 23 meters high and 8 meters wide. It flows into the sea from the cliffs, with pine trees on both sides. It has been called the "Jeongbang Summer Waterfall" since ancient times and is listed as one of the "Ten Scenic Spots of Yeongju" (Jeju was formerly known as Yeongju).
