Hongdae shopping street has very lively atmosphere. It was quite crowded, filled with both Koreans and foreigners. You can do many things there, shopping, strolling, trying some food, or even watching performances as there are a lot of street musicians and dancers there.
For me, it is one of the best places for shopping and eating. The street is very long with different vibes during the day and at night. Great atmosphere! Many shops and styles available for everyone with reasonable price and tax refund available in some stores. You’ll need to spend a couple hours exploring the shops and alleyways as there are some nice hidden gems around the place. It’s great for affordable shopping and for food & beverage. Probably the hottest place is Seoul in terms of nightlife. Clubs, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, everything in one place. The streets are filled with young people from all over the world, students or tourists. Very touristic and lots of energy! You will see a lot of talented music performers. Going here is a must when you're in Seoul. The vibe is so different compared to Myeondong and Itaewon.
