Gyeongbokgung through Time

Gyeongbok Palace holds a lot of history. Where in the past, there were many wars and this palace was often destroyed by enemies. The Gyeongbok Palace building was started by an architect named Jeong do jeon in 1394. The palace was later destroyed during the Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592-1598 and was rebuilt during the 1860s. The operational hours may vary depending on the season. From March to May and September to October, it will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. From June to August, it's open starting from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Meanwhile from November to February, it will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can rent a hanbok dress at the palace and stroll around the palace like a princess. Oh, dn't forget to watch the guard's changing ceremony as well. Go as early as you will get the barricade line to see the performance clearly.
