Hanok village in Seoul you haven't heard of...

There is a number of hanok villages (districts in old traditional style) in Seoul with the most famous of them being located nearby historical palaces. They are pretty and... crowded.

There is a secret hanok village in Seoul with very few people... the downside? - it is over an hour bus ride away from Seoul downtown.

Eunpyeong hanok village is a new one, built exactly for tourists (though, it is still a residential area as well and some people live there).
It is located by Bukhasan National park, so it is a good combo for before the hike.

The place is absolutely charming and tranquil.

Tip: do not come after sunset as the place is absolutely dead at night.
