Stepping Back in Time at Bukchon Hanok Village

In the middle of modern Seoul, we found ourselves wandering through the quiet, charming streets of Bukchon Hanok Village. Lined with traditional Korean houses called hanok, the area feels like a peaceful escape from the city’s fast pace.
Each alley we turned into felt like a scene from a historical drama wooden doors, curved rooftops, and mountain views in the distance. Some hanoks are still homes, while others are cafes, museums, or art shops.
It’s a beautiful mix of old and new where the past is preserved, but still part of everyday life. Definitely a must-visit if you want to feel the soul of Seoul.
