Travel back in time! A guide to experiencing Hanbok at Seoul's Hanok Village

In Seoul's Bukchon Hanok Village, I realized my dream of starring in a Korean drama! We booked a traditional hanbok rental shop and chose a princess-style chigori skirt and vest. The shop also helped with braiding and headwear. Strolling through the alleys of 600-year-old hanok in hanbok, the backdrop of the blue-tiled stone walls was a stunning photo op! Even better, wearing hanbok is free to enter Gyeongbokgung Palace, saving money and fitting the occasion. Seeing modern skyscrapers juxtaposed with traditional hanok is truly magical. I recommend going in the morning for softer light and fewer crowds, making for the best photos.
