Beautiful night at Shanghai old street

What a fantastic street and area - the buildings and layout make it feel really authentic and a great insight into the historical city. It’s a shame that so many of the shops now sell plastic tourist ‘tat’ but there’s still plenty of interesting stores along the way and fortunately none of the sellers are pushy or encouraging you in anywhere. Although it is somewhat commercialised I didn’t find it too much to remove any of the charm or atmosphere. Admiring the buildings in this entire area is a fascinating experience. It’s also central in the city to be in the perfect location for exploring other great sights, so there really isn’t an excuse for not passing through; it certainly was one of the highlights of my visit!#shanghai #shanghaitravel
