China Maritime Museum

Located in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, China Maritime Museum is the first national maritime museum in China. It aims to promote the splendid maritime culture and fine traditions of the Chinese nation, build an international maritime exchange platform, and cultivate young people's love for the maritime industry.
The museum has a construction area of about 46,000 square meters and a rich exhibition content covering many aspects such as maritime history, ship models, navigation instruments, and marine life. The museum is divided into several exhibition areas, including ancient navigation, modern navigation, and contemporary navigation, which vividly display the development history of China's maritime industry through various forms such as objects, models, pictures, and multimedia.
Among them, the ancient navigation exhibition area displays the brilliant achievements of ancient Chinese navigation technology, such as Zheng He's voyages to the Western Seas and ancient ship models. The modern navigation exhibition area introduces the development and achievements of modern Chinese navigation technology and demonstrates China's important position in the international maritime field.
In addition, the museum also has an interactive experience area where visitors can experience the fun and challenges of navigation through technologies such as simulated driving and virtual reality. The museum is not only an important place to learn about Chinese maritime history and culture, but also an important base for science education and patriotic education for young people.
