Don't be fooled again! The night cherry blossoms in Shanghai are only here!

⏰️Live footage on the evening of March 20, 2025, from 18:20 to 19:00
📍Address: Gate 1, Jing'an Sculpture Park (Metro 🚇 Line 13, Exit 1)

Currently, there are roughly two types of cherry blossoms 🌸 planted in Shanghai:
1⃣ Early cherry blossoms (pink Kawazu cherry): Chenshan Botanical Garden, Gucun Park (a small amount), near Gate 1 of Jing'an Sculpture Park. Blooming from late February to early March, now entering the falling period. The cherry leaves at Chenshan Botanical Garden have sprouted a lot.

2⃣ Mid-season cherry blossoms (Somei Yoshino cherry): Hongkou Football Stadium, Gucun Park, Xuhui Riverside Belt, Lujiazui, Expo Avenue... The largest planted area in Shanghai is the that bloom in April.

⚠ What most bloggers post is the mid-season cherry blossoms‼️ The spectacular view in Shanghai can only be seen in early to mid-April‼️ Don’t get your hopes up too early!!!

💖 Night cherry blossom photography tips 💖
1⃣ Recommended shooting time is between 18:00 and 18:30. You can check the blue hour time for the day through Lijing Weather. The background sky color will be more beautiful!
2⃣ A DSLR is best paired with a fill light and tripod to ensure exposure and stability, especially for portraits. If you don’t have these, you can use the park’s light sources, but faces may appear yellowish. Phones don’t require much light, and you can still get good results shooting the lights (except for iPhones).
3⃣ Cherry blossoms 🌸 are suitable for cultural and upward shots. Capture wide shots with some pedestrians on the ground in the frame. Shoot flowers with sky space left blank, or use nearby cherry blossoms as the foreground and focus on distant scenes with gaps for more depth.
4⃣ Cherry blossoms 🌸 occupy a small space, so you can AI-add a moon 🌙 to avoid the scene looking too empty 🈳.

Early cherry blossoms 🌸 are falling fast! Seize the last week!
