10 Hours in Shanghai – From the Oriental Pearl Tower to the Disney Store

My 10-hour layover in Shanghai turned into an unforgettable mini-adventure. Sure, I could have stayed at the airport watching planes take off, but how boring would that be!

🚄 From Pudong Airport, I took the high-speed Maglev train almost to the city center. It reaches speeds of up to 430 km/h! It saved me a lot of time (you could take the metro, which is cheaper, but better for those not in a hurry).

💎 My first stop was the Oriental Pearl Tower, the unofficial symbol of the city.

✨ Next, I fulfilled a childhood dream by visiting the official Disney Store. It's a true paradise for fans of the iconic company's animated films – toys, clothes, accessories, and everything you could possibly want or need.

🤎 I enjoyed a coffee in the lobby of the Shangri-La Pudong. The hotel has a prime location. While the area is a tourist hotspot, the inside of the hotel is quiet and peaceful – a true oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of Shanghai.

🩵 I admired the Bund from the opposite side of the river. This spot offers the best view of the city's futuristic skyline!
