If you ask what's different about Shangri-La Old Town from Lijiang Old Town, the answer is very different. Although the old towns share similar features: wooden buildings and stone-paved walkways, Shangri-La Old Town isn't as large as Lijiang Old Town, and it's livelier and has fewer tourists.

The atmosphere in Shangri-La Old Town is distinctly Tibetan, and it's incredibly charming. A day in Shangri-La Old Town is truly memorable.
