Let's see the drift ice of Shiretoko

Have you ever seen drift ice?

You can see drift ice if you go to Hokkaido! That's not to say. You can only see drift ice in the sea facing the Okhotsk Sea in the eastern part of Hokkaido, or along the eastern coast of Hokkaido.

The most famous spot is the Okhotsk area. Among them, Utoro Town in Shiretoko is on the eastern side, the closest place you can go by car, and you can see it well from there.

The season is from the end of January to February. Ice that has frozen in the northern seas rides the waves and reaches the Okhotsk coast.
