Shenzhen Dongshan Temple - imitating the architectural style of Ming and Qing Dynasties, interpreting the special aesthetics of Chinese architecture.

Shenzhen Dongshan Temple, built in 1394, has a history of more than 600 years. It is located on the east side of Pengcheng Village, Dapeng Town, Dapeng New District, Shenzhen. It overlooks Daya Bay, with mountains behind and the sea in front. The scenery is extremely elegant and beautiful.

Dongshan Temple has a long history and has been renovated three times, in 1854, 1993 and 2009, so it has been able to maintain its current condition. The temple follows the architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Every brick and tile, wall painting, and relief carving of auspicious animals are extremely exquisite, perfectly interpreting the special aesthetics of Chinese architecture.

The temple is built entirely of concrete, with clear stone as the exterior walls and yellow glazed tiles on the eaves. It is divided into four sections according to the terrain, and the front and back sections are separated by a patio. The temple has the Great Mountain Gate, the Main Hall, the Sutra Library, the Heavenly King Hall and other attractions.
