Have you seen them?

They are right at Bantian Vanke Plaza, where the "Giant Black-faced Spoonbill" resides!

After seeing the enormous black-faced spoonbill and the adorable leopard cat on the platform, I couldn't resist visiting this popular mall that opened just a few months ago, even though I knew the crowds would be overwhelming during the "May Day holiday."

The crowd was indeed massive, but I believe it might be less crowded on regular weekends. It was quite interesting to observe the types of visitors from Bantian Metro Station to the mall. Unlike other shopping centers, there were many young families, children, and young people. Most notably, there were many beautifully dressed young girls in Lolita outfits.

Once inside, it all made sense. The expansive ecological park, insect world, indoor playroom, children's playground, and the highly Instagrammable "British Library World Pixel Exhibition" are all reasons why people flock here.

Personally, I was more intrigued by their outdoor landscaping and ecological park. Besides the black-faced spoonbill, there are other animals hidden among the trees and bushes in the park, like the pair of red-whiskered bulbuls featured on the cover photo.

The ecological park has a map with recommended routes, allowing visitors to explore various plants and discover hidden "animals" along the way. Next time, I'll bring the kids here to let them wander and explore, enjoying a bit of nature in the city. The best part is that this activity is free! 😁😁

The park also offers a variety of restaurants and tea shops, making it a great dining spot. However, I recommend visiting on weekdays when there are fewer visitors to fully enjoy the outdoor "nature."

Transportation Info: Take Metro Line 5 to Bantian Station, Exit D (approximately 30 minutes from Futian Port).
