Hidden gems in southern Anhui! The ultimate spring outing!!!

Shintai one-day tour guide｜

I just got back from Shintai over the weekend.
This small county hidden in southern Anhui is truly a treasure.
It's uncrowded, has beautiful scenery, and prices are amazing.
I'm sharing my perfect one-day tour route.

8:00 AM Depart from Hefei
Drive 2.5 hours to Shintai County
I recommend navigating to "Qiupu River Scenic Area"
This is the birthplace of Li Bai's "Songs of Qiupu."

First stop: Qiupu River rafting
Tickets are CNY 80/person
The entire journey takes about 1.5 hours
The river water is crystal clear and the green hills on both sides are picturesque
Remember to bring a change of clothes, you will get wet!

12:00 PM
I recommend going to the county to eat authentic farmhouse dishes
Must-order dishes: small river fish, local chicken soup, Shintai tofu
CNY 50 per person will fill you up

1:30 PM
Head to Zuishanye Scenic Area
Tickets are CNY 60. I recommend buying a sightseeing bus ticket
Here, you'll find the longest glass plank road in East China
Your legs will really go weak standing on it!
You can also see the spectacular Huangya Waterfall

4:00 PM
Don't miss the Guniujiang Scenic Area
Known as the "Little Jiuzhaigou of Southern Anhui"
The emerald green pools are breathtakingly beautiful
Every shot you take is a masterpiece
Remember to wear comfortable shoes, you'll be climbing mountains

6:00 PM
Return to the county for dinner
I recommend trying Shintai's specialty "Yipin Pot"
All kinds of mountain delicacies stewed in one pot, super delicious

Tips:
1. I recommend driving yourself, the attractions are far apart
2. Bring sunscreen, the ultraviolet rays are strong in the mountains
3. Prepare some snacks, it's easy to get hungry when climbing mountains
4. The best season is September–November, the autumn colors are stunning

Shintai has really given me too many surprises
Uncrowded, beautiful scenery, and low prices
It's a great place to escape the city on the weekend
