Hamamatsu City, located in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, is not a popular tourist destination, but it has many Japanese characteristics and is worth a visit.

The most famous specialties of Hamamatsu⭐️ are Hamamatsu dumplings🥟 and eel🍱, both of which are my favorites, so of course I have to come here to play for two days and one night! It only takes 1 hour to get to Hamamatsu from Nagoya by Shinkansen🚄, so transportation is very convenient.

As soon as you arrive at Hamamatsu Station, in addition to two large shopping malls 🛍 and souvenir shops, there is also a dumpling shop! The dumpling shop here takes orders by quantity, so of course we were greedy and ordered the largest portion of fried dumplings 🥟, with more than 20 dumplings in one pot, which was very tempting and satisfying 😆! The dumplings are filled with pork and vegetables, but they are fried to be fragrant and not greasy, and the skin is crispy and very distinctive.

As for another famous dish, eel rice, we went to an old restaurant near the famous seaside attraction, Kanzan-ji Temple! 🐟In addition to grilled eel, the three dishes of eel rice also include white grilled eel and eel liver skewers, which is very rich. Although the eel costs about $300 per serving, the eel I ate in Hamamatsu was really more plump, and the skin was grilled thin and crispy. It tasted meaty, different from what I usually eat in Hong Kong. It was delicious 😋

After eating, you can go to the nearby Hamana Lake for a stroll or ride a bicycle. Lake Hamana is very large and is the tenth largest lake in Japan. The lake surface is as smooth as a mirror🪞, very beautiful, and you can feel the tranquil atmosphere when you look into the distance. There are sightseeing boats here from time to time, where you can tour Hamamatsu.
