A Shizuoka Trip Without Seeing Mount Fuji

A 3-day, 2-night trip to Shizuoka turned into a food-focused journey without catching a glimpse of Mount Fuji... 😭😭😭 Although the weather was absolutely perfect with no rain, I only managed to see Mount Fuji from the plane on my way back. 😂😂😂😂

Before heading out to see Mount Fuji, I recommend searching for "Mount Fuji live" on YouTube to check if there are clouds obscuring the view. It's a helpful tip! As for the Yume no Tsuribashi (Dream Suspension Bridge) near Fujinomiya, it takes about an hour to walk there from the station, and most shops in the area are closed. I walked there myself, but it was quite a challenge—your legs might feel like they're going to give out! 😂😂😂 It takes about two hours round trip, so only attempt it if you're in good physical shape.

The Ferris wheel with Mount Fuji in the background is located at the Tomei Fujigawa Service Area. You can get there by public transportation or rental car. On a clear day, the view of Mount Fuji would be stunning!

For food, I highly recommend Tendon Tenya, a chain restaurant that serves delicious tempura rice bowls. If you like tendon, give it a try!

As for green tea ice cream, they offer different intensity levels, so pick one that suits your taste.

The Fujinomiya Aeon Mall doesn't have much to offer in terms of shopping. If you're already near Fujinomiya Station, it's worth a visit, but don't go there just for the mall—it might not be worth the expense. If you're looking to shop for food, the Aeon Mall near Kitsu Negasaki Station has more options and is a better choice.
