KOMAME Restaurant 🍙

Nestled in the mountains of Shodoshima, the cafe and restaurant "KOMAME Shokudo" is nestled amidst the quaint Japanese countryside of Nakayama Senmaida. Their signature dish, the "Terrace Rice Ball Set Meal," features fluffy, finely rolled rice harvested in Senmaida, accompanied by a side dish and soup. Other popular dishes include Shodoshima Somen, a repurposed rice mill, and other dishes that utilize Shodoshima's natural produce.

The building, said to have been built in the early Showa era, is a former rice mill. The restaurant offers warm, wooden seating inside and terrace seating overlooking the Senmaida fields. In addition to set meals, they also offer a wide selection of hand-squeezed juices made with local fruits and handmade desserts.

Takeout options include rice ball sets, hamburgers made with Shodoshima olive beef, and the pre-ordered "KOMAME Bento." Enjoying the tranquil scenery while dining outdoors is a unique experience. The restaurant is crowded on weekends and holidays, so we recommend calling to make a reservation (only in the morning of the day).
