A Day is Not Enough to Explore the Wonders of Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat, the most famous tourist attraction in Cambodia, was originally a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu, but it has since become a Buddhist temple. Therefore, there is a Buddha Day every week.

On Buddha Day, the third level, the Divine Realm, is not accessible, so please keep this in mind when planning your visit.

Before the 11th century, Angkor Wat was composed of five levels:
1st level: World of Serpents
2nd level: World of Birds
3rd level: World of Humans
4th level: World of Demons
5th level: World of Gods

However, after the 11th century, it was changed to a three-level structure:
1st level: World of Creatures
2nd level: World of Humans
3rd level: Divine Realm
